A channel plan is a set of tradeoffs

Coordinated digital marketing begins by deciding where the customer journey needs help, then matching that need to channels and team capacity.

01 / 03

Start with the commercial question

A list of available channels is not a strategy. Begin with the business objective, audience, offer, buying journey, and current evidence about where progress slows or stops.

A business with weak lead follow-up may not need another acquisition campaign first. A complex purchase may need useful content and sales enablement before more budget goes toward short-form awareness.

02 / 03

Sequence the work deliberately

Search, paid media, content, email, and website improvements have different roles and time horizons. A sensible plan accounts for those differences instead of demanding identical returns from every channel.

The sequence should reflect dependencies. Tracking may need repair before comparison is meaningful; landing-page clarity may need attention before increasing paid traffic; content requires an owner who can review it.

03 / 03

Make the plan adjustable

Set a small number of outcomes, leading indicators, and review dates. Include what evidence would justify continuing, changing, or stopping an activity, particularly when attribution is incomplete.

A connected digital program is a decision system, not a promise that every discipline will grow at once. Capacity, customer response, and business economics should determine the next move.
