The handoff is part of the journey
A campaign may attract a prospect who reads a service page, submits a form, and waits for a response. If each team sees only its own interaction, useful context disappears at the handoff.
Agree on what qualifies as an inquiry, where it is routed, what response is expected, and how sales returns a quality signal. These operating agreements matter as much as campaign settings.
Connect systems without overstating certainty
Analytics, advertising platforms, and CRM records can provide a more complete view when identities and events are captured appropriately. They can still leave gaps or disagree about attribution.
Document source definitions, consent assumptions, and known limitations. A report should distinguish observed events from modeled or incomplete connections instead of presenting a neat dashboard as unquestionable truth.
Use feedback to change the work
Regular marketing and sales reviews can identify misleading messages, unsuitable leads, objections, and useful customer questions. Those observations should inform content, targeting, qualification, and follow-up.
The loop is most valuable when it changes a concrete decision. A smaller set of shared measures and a named owner can outperform a sprawling report nobody uses.
